    Recent auction Highlights

    The Australiana auction held recently by The Collector was well attended and high prices were paid across the board for the large range of interesting collectable items.

    A collection of vintage tins sold very well, along with postcards featuring Aborigines, a Boer War photo album with photos of Australian officers and soldiers and a great collection of Australian pottery. 

     

    An interesting  exhibition catalogue of Rex Batterby and John A. Gardners painting trip to Central Australia in 1933 sold for $144.   This excursion was where Albert Namatjira and other Hermansburg artists discovered the art of Western style landscape painting. 

     

    The next special sale on the 3rd July will featuring Books, tools & military items to be followed by Sport on the 7th August.
