Visit the graves of Burke and Wills and the supposed ghost of the Princess Theatre at the Melbourne General Cemetary,   an amazing collection of antique surgical instruments at the Royal College of Surgeons, the attic at the Salvation Army Heritage Centre that housed Limelight Studios which closed in 1909 and produced 400 movies, The Army Medical Corp.,  which is partly used by the Victorian Historical Society to see an exhibition of MacPherson Robertson, Melbourne’s chocolate king,  The Australian Club because well, it’s the Australia Club and Umina the home of the Country Women’s Association for afternoon tea and craft stalls.  Oh, and if you’re into architecture and modern design there’s also plenty to see.

Yes, Open House Melbourne is on again with 100 places to visit.  Most venues offer self guided or optional tours and no booking.   Expect queues.
